What Is Group Captive?

Group captive is a business model through which industrial consumers can invest in or participate in a solar, wind or hybrid project developed by the Group and procure renewable electricity for their facilities. It combines renewable power procurement with the potential for electricity-cost savings, subject to project economics and applicable charges.

Ownership participation Consumers participate in project ownership in line with applicable electricity regulations.

Power consumption Participants procure and consume electricity from the project while meeting the applicable captive-use requirements.

More than a PPA: Group captive is not simply a long-term power purchase agreement. It is an ownership-plus-consumption structure, and continued compliance with the applicable regulatory requirements is essential.
